Valentines
Day Quotes - Let me be an ocean and let me kiss you as many times as the ocean
kisses the shore
“They
know they're supposed to do something, but they're not sure what. And you know
what they do when they're not sure-- of course you do: They either do the wrong
thing or they do nothing, and it's a toss up as to which is worse.”

“What
was that? Valentine's Day? Her heart gave a little skip at the thought, she had
never spent it in a romantic way before, usually the day meant sending and
receiving cute Cupid cards and heart shaped sugar candies, but it was all in a
platonic celebration of friendship. This time, it would not be like that, it
would be ... special.”

“ROSE
DAY POEM:
Rose..
if it is..
for
the one whom you miss..
and
you want to say a lot..
till
now that you have not!
-
Then
just go and dare to say..
for
that moment is today..
beyond
the earth and sky above..
Give
it to the one whom you love!!
-
And
sing your heart out..
to
the universe aloud..
-
O
girl, O girl, O.. O.. girl.. you be mine..
You
are more than this rose to me..
You
be my.. Valentine.
Just
be mine.. O O.. Valentine!!!”

“PROPOSE
DAY POEM:
Austerity..
If..
I were to define..
it’s
you.. yoo hoo!
-
Happiness
is what..
that
makes me feel divine..
smiling
you.. yoo hoo!!
-
What
rose is in flowers..
What
moon is in stars..
That
you are to me..
You
and I will be we..
You’re
my life.. I.. I..
You’re
my life.. I.. I..
I
love you.. yoo hoo
I
love you.. yoo hoo
-
O
girl, O girl, O.. O.. girl..
you
be mine..
I
love you..
I
love you..
I
love you.. yoo hoo..
You
be my..
Valentine.
-
Just
be mine..
I
love you..
O O
Valentine!!!”

“As
a young adult I became disenchanted with Valentine’s Day. I’d tell anyone who’d
listen that Valentine’s Day was for rotten lovers to make up for their
shortcomings and failures throughout the rest of the year. I firmly believed if
a man was doing his job and caring for his companion then Valentine’s Day was
just another day.
It
was easy to take such a stance because as a newly married couple we of course
had it all figured out. We had plenty of time and energy to heap affection on
one another every day and had vowed never to become disconnected like those old
fogies no matter what circumstances life had in store for us.
Adding
to my distaste for Valentine’s Day was the fact that the same dozen roses I’d
bought for her the previous week cost $20-$30 dollars more on this love
sanctioned day. Overcrowded restaurants offered just one or two Valentine’s
meals for a king’s ransom. And last but not least cards failed to provide an
adequate expression of my love for her. Valentine’s Day was a needless day for
a loving couple who felt no compulsion to share their affections with the
masses.”

“I
love you.”
“Wow.
That too on Valentine’s Day!”
“That’s
just a coincidence.”
A
perfect love story started to brew as they embarked on a journey of love and
romance. The day the world celebrated love was the day they would start their
love story too. What a perfect melodrama, even the best of romantic movies
might not have such a climax. A perfect love story was just brewing.”

“Valentine's
Day is just a capitalist scam, designed to make people currently in a
relationship spend unnecessary money in a fruitless attempt to ensure undying
love and devotion. For those of us not in a relationship, Valentine's Day is
simply added pressure to identify ourselves within the context of a romantic
relationship, whipping us into a frenzy that only the presence of our soul
mates can relieve.”

“The
door creaked and I lifted my eyes to see Gee stick
her
head back inside. “It’s cal ed Valentine’s Day, you moron,” she announced. “If
you’re going to date a human, Dankmar, you need to remember their holidays.”
Gee gave me an exasperated look before closing the door once more.”

“He
had never cared if his victims lived or died once he was through with them. But
not her. He couldn’t allow her to die. The moment he felt that small flutter of
her heart, ready to give way to his hunger, he had stopped and gazed down at
her for long moments.”

“It
was V-day and I was stuck at home while the guy I was dating was at an
Anti-Valentine’s Day party. How wrong was that? It was one thing to be totally
alone on V-day, but another to want to be with someone who would rather spend
the evening protesting love instead of making it.”
